锦江典故：周恩来总理与818套房
周恩来总理与818套房锦北楼原名华懋公寓(Cathay Mansions)，1929年9月建成，其传统哥特式建筑风格历久弥新。818房位于该楼第8层东部，室内使用面积为87.2平方米，为同层中之最大，房间层高超过3米，光线充足，配套高档家具独具品位，雅致静谧，这里曾入住过很多政要名流。
周恩来总理曾前后15次在锦江饭店参与和组织了重要的政治会务和外事活动。其中1971年陪同西哈努克亲王、1972年接待美国总统尼克松和日本首相田中角荣、1973年接待法国总统蓬皮杜，周恩来总理都入住了818室。他那平易近人的领导者、足智多谋的外交家、才能过人的实干家形象，给锦江员工留下了深刻印象。当时总理夫人邓颖超也同来饭店，还与饭店员工一起合影留念。Premier Zhou Enlai and Suite 818Cathay building initially named Cathay Mansions was established on September 1929, Though going through the

Premier Zhou lived in Room 818 when accompanying Prince Norodom Sihanouk in 1971, receiving U.S. President
Nixon and Japan minister Tanaka Kakuei in 1972 and French President Georges Pompidou in 1973.As an easy-going
leader, a resourceful diplomat and a talented man of action Premier Zhou Enlai has given great impression to hoteliers.
